A Concert by a Songwriter ~ Steve Earle

Jerusalem - album: Jerusalem by Steve Earle

Last night I was lucky enough to see a concert by Steve Earle. He is an excellent story teller. Now, being from Texas originally, I am quite familiar with this man's music. But everything changes when you have the opportunity to see a songwriter live. Not only do you get the experience of witnessing their talents, but you can feel the passion that lead them to thier calling in the first place. It was a solo show. Just him and his guitar. His wife was the opening act. Live music is the greatest. Don't you think? If you haven't listened to Steve Earle, this ablum is one of my favs. Guitar Town is also good. There are too many songs to mention.

The song above was one of the songs I was waiting to hear. He has always been outspoken about his political views, and last night was no exception. Reminded me how much I miss Texans (not Texas so much). And why is it that I am not more involved in stopping this immoral war?
