DreamWeaver

Yea. I need to learn Dreamweaver 8. And start working on a website. YIKES! Am I nervous? Nah... Am I overwhelmed? well, a little. Do I have the patience? Doubt it. But away we go...

Anyone versed in this software? The IT guy says, good luck with navigation. :ACK:

    I learned Dreamweaver 2, so I can't help ya. BUT, I am sure you can handle this. And I bet there are online tutorials and stuff.

    I'm not a fan of WYSIWYG editors, but Dreamweaver is at least better than Frontpage. I haven't used it in years though, so I can't really offer any useful advice. I prefer to code by hand as much as possible.

    Buy a book to help you out. There may be a "Classroom in a Book" for Dreamweaver now that they're owned by Adobe. That series tends to be one of the better set to help you through new software and typically comes with a CD with tutorials on it.

    It's been a while since I worked in Dreamweaver, but I remember it not being a difficult transition having worked in other graphic design based software before. You might also want to consider using Flash, as it is very similar to working in Photoshop and Illustrator, just with a timeline added to it.

    Good luck, and let me know if you need any advice on possible books or any other tools to help you along.
