There are many ways of breaking a heart. Stories were full of hearts broken by love,
but what really broke a heart was taking away its dream - whatever that dream might be.

To My Three Readers!
After a short drive to LA, and the hike through a parking lot, I saw Nomar G. hit a grand slam today to win the Dodgers game. AWESOME! My son tossed ball with a grown-up who said, he throws this good at three?, He also learned to say, "Let's go Dodgers".
Yea. We got sunburned even with our sunscreen on, we bought too expensive ball caps we will only wear to Dodgers games, we got a Dodgers baseball, ate a Dodger Dog, and drank too much lemonade! Da-gum that was a great day!
Take me out to the ball game... take me out to the crowd...

I see you mentioned Dodger Dogs. Baseball was always a great experience at Chavez Ravine (probably has a different name by now for all I know). I used to watch future Dodgers play in Bakersfield and catch them years later in The Show. Man I miss that!
ReplyDeleteI see you've listed Santa Barbara as your location. One of many Pacific coast locales I used to frequent. I'll have to tell you sometime about a friend of mine who used to put on a music fest there every year. Been out of contact for a number of years so I don't know if he is even involved anymore. It was called at different times Ham Jam or Pig Gig. If you think of it and see any 50-ish hippies around ask them about it. ;)
welcome miss1999! i am surprised by the never seen a pro baseball game responses.
ReplyDeleteCyberbro - you should have seen him in his little dodger getup! giggles. he drew many a smile from the fans.
Jay... rented.. LOL. thats exactly right! but that was the cheaper portion of the day!
Lyndon... welcome! i will ask around about the concert series. I do have a couple of friends who would know the answer to that one. Look me up if you are ever out this way.
